A Note From the Founder
In 1976, following a career of 22 years in the investment business, I established the first Investment Management firm in Edmonton under the name Managed Investments Ltd. That company enjoyed significant success as assets under stewardship grew to almost $1 billion by the time of sale in 1995. The company achieved an outstanding reputation for competence over a span of 19 years which encompassed several economic/market cycles. In addition to high net worth individuals, our clientele included major corporations and pension funds from across Canada.
Global Wealth Builders Ltd was incorporated in 2002 with the object of providing our clients a world class investment management service. Following a period of over 5 years of hands-on portfolio management activity, we determined that the best alternative would be to provide a gateway for our clients to access the best investment talent in the world. We believe that combining the talents of several proven, competent investment organizations would deliver better performance than could any single organization.
Global Wealth Builders has the experience required to evaluate, select, and oversee the managers and determine the allocation of assets among them to achieve the best results. As our funds grow, we expect to add other managers capable of offering specialized expertise to improve performance.
