The Investment Process
Our investment process involves the extensive use of computer applications in the selection of stocks and the construction of our clients' portfolios. The data covers 17 years of fundamental and technical information on most of the companies considered to be candidates for inclusion in our portfolios. The system is exceptionally powerful, enabling us to compare the attributes of a company against the market, its industry group or any grouping of companies we select. By assigning our proven investment criteria and weighting the degree of importance of certain elements, we are able to sort and rank each company in the universe in the order of its relative attractiveness for investment. By the stroke of a key, we are able to view important financial data items for the market, an industry group or an individual stock. We are also able to monitor and graph the interrelationship between economic and fundamental variables. A change in any of the variables affects the rankings accordingly. As a company's ranking changes, it becomes a candidate for purchase or liquidation from the portfolio. This is an extremely disciplined and effective approach to portfolio management. |
